A WORK IN PROGRESS,,,

To be continued.
Only a beginning in oil.
But so far
I'm liking it.
I may turn it upside down,,,
or not.
Maybe just incorporate the darks
on the bottom 1/3.
Who knows.
I will explore it more
after this last layer dries,
(it's quite thick)
and I return from the lake.
It feels good to play in oil
again.
And to be painting, period!

isn't it great to be able to 'see' something evolving, and then to know that if you turn it upside down it would be just as good...tee hee.

It's a great begining for sure! I always wonder how you know what to do next and when to stop. I like it. Off to the lake again this weekend? Have fun.

Whoo Babs, this is looking gorgeous, so rich with the colors and contrasts! I know you enjoyed having some time to paint again after being up at the lake.

Oils are so intimidating to me. This speaks loudly - it's vibrant and full of energy.

Hey,,,thanks to all of you who've commented here. Just returned from over a week at the lake, so I've had no time to paint or post anything creative.
I'll get back in the groove before long,,,,and have something that I'm sure will dazzle you.
I want to work on the oil previously posted,,but no time for oils just now.

I'm liking it too. Many layers must make it very textural... and thick like mud at the lake bottom. (wink)

So far I'm loving this, Babs! The swirly movement, the rich colors--a powerful beginning. Do you think you need to work on it much more?
