MOVING RIGHT ALONG,,,

,,,,in our new adventure. At least we were until last Sunday. We've hit a couple of temporary snags.

Here's one.

And here's the other.

We had a bit of an argument with the trailer hitch.
We didn't win.
Thankfully, there's been nothing broken, just some cuts and bruises.
A really freak thing,,,that couldn't have happened, yet it did.
And man, has it hurt!

Looking at my new counter tops makes me feel better,
and we were to have new windows installed, which we had to put on hold, as the installers failed to get the permit.

My next project was to paint the hideous orange shelf to the left.
I cannot wait to have it gone and blended in with the stone backsplash, and glass doors added.

We've gotten a lot accomplished, but still have a lot to do.
I'm learning patience.
Slowly,,,,,

Jack quickly created some art work for the fridge.
There's still quite a lot to complete in the kitchen,
but it's coming along.
And Lynnie, you're right about the black appliances,,,
I'm really enjoying them!
When we are healed enough, we will add the microwave over the range.
Did I mention that I'm learning patience?

And now that I can hold the mouse I'll be coming over to check your blogs and see what you all have been up to.

"Practice Calm" My mantra for last year. Your new home looks so beautiful and I like the black appliances too.
Please take care of the hand/s. The work will wait.

Tell me it looks worse than it is? Looks like the work of an emergency room...my best healing thoughts towards you and yours.
Counter top looks great...take it slow!

Hi Michelle,
Getting better already, thanks!

Kate,I remember your mantra. and it's perfect.I'm much calmer than I was. Glad you like the appliances, I wasn't sure I'd like them, but I do.Lynnie told me she loved hers.

Hi Lo,
Good to see you too.
It's the Boyfriend's left hand and my right. Both our dominant hands, but we're doing so much better today.

Suki, hello!
Jack has already been helping paint. I've textured and painted 2 bedrooms, and he was there doing "the lowest-down" stuff one day.

Hey Annie,
The studio is farther down on the list,,,but all in good time. Thanks for your hugs!

Blue Sky, yes,,,,it looked worse than it is.Amazed that nothing was broken, and still not sure how I escaped that, but I'm very grateful! You're right, the emergency room took good care of us, although we were there all afternoon and into the evening.
Thanks for your healing thoughts,,,and I love the countertops too!

Oh ouch :-( Have to say I find those trailer things a bit scary myself...

Those benches are a thing of beauty though. Bliss.

Babs, I've been so darn lazy about blogging lately, sorry I haven't checked in before now. I hope yours and J's hands are healing up and I still say youall were lucky just to get bruises and cuts, yikes, that's way too scary!! Wow I absolutely LOVE your kitchen and yep those black appliances look fantastic in there!! :)

Hehe, I forgot to mention your stove looks almost exactly like mine but I'll swap fridges with you. Ours has an icemaker in the top but we never hooked it up.

OMG Babs, what on earth happened?? How long will you have to wear that torturous contraption? My goodness, how the heck did BOTH of you end up like a pair of matching bookends? Sheesh, poor you - how horrible!

And wow! I want a kitchen like this, especially with the black appliances.. I'm sure the grime wouldn't be nearly as noticable as it is on my white ones (grin)!
