A smaller one, this figure is about 2 1/2 inches tall.
She works on her sculpture from the top of an old broken easel.
She likes it there, but isn't sure she's happy with her work, as you can tell by her expression.
Someone asked if these figures were self portraits. I hadn't thought about that, but I suspect there's an element of truth in the possibility.
She chose not to be glazed, and somehow I feel she's right.
What say you?

the spring and the nail are nice touches. i like her unglazed. i think maybe she is a totem for your studio.
I defy anyone not to smile when she catches their eye - isn't she cute? I'll bet she lobs clay at you when you need nudging to get creative again?
I like the thought of her lobbing clay at you. She's wonderful just as she is.
I agree with all here. I like her unglazed. xoxo
is this paperclay, babs?
i have some and i'm making it a big deal to even open the package.
i like what shrinky said. is she throwing clay?
:^)
Thanks Suki,
Studio totem, I like that!
Shrinky, she's been known to do that, yes.She always gets her way.
I just hate to hear clay whine, don't you?
Thank you Robyn,,she appreciates knowing that!
Annie,,,,sshhhh,,,if she hears too often what a good decision she made,,,well, she'll get an even bigger head. But thank you!
No, kj,,,,not paperclay. I've never tried that. This is plain 'ol Sculpy Polymer clay that you 'fire' in your kitchen oven.
Get that package open girl,,,you're gonna surprise yourself, I'm betting. And if not, well,,,what the heck,,,,it's all fun anyway! (The Joy Is In The Process, ya know?)
She's quite the arteest!! I love the idea of her being your studio totem :)
She makes a wonderful muse! I hope she doesn't mind the heat! Amazing number of states in the middle of this heat...try to stay cool!
I like her - she has a nice spring to her - she's way cute
I love how all your "girls" have personalities and voices. You always embue them with so much character. This one look a little pensive and unsure. I think she is wonderful.
I think any glazing might take the spring out of her spring. Smart lady, not to get caught up in a frenzy of fancy make-up.
She's a beauty. May she long inspire you, whether lobbing clay or otherwise.
Ooh she looks like my lady you sent me. Love her to bits!
