COUNTING

#1    "Step AWAY From My Coffee,,,"

#2    "The Same DNA"

#3    "She Tree"

#4   "Little Black Dress"

#5     "Making Other Arrangements"

#6     Tillie Tu-tu

And I've also been doing this:

Well, that would not be completely true,,I have however, been supervising.
Much Too hot for me out there. I don't know how the workmen do it,
but I guess they must be used to it.We almost broke the record here of 42 days in a row
of over 100 degree temperature. Yesterday it was cloudy, and only reached 99.
I watched a storm blow by, that didn't kiss us with even so much as one drop of rain. Might as well have been 100
and broken the record,,,,but then who's counting.
102 today,,,

and tomorrow 103.

I will be celebrating 40 (gasp) years of wedded bliss to
The Boyfriend tomorrow.
That's right,,,,I married at age 10.
But who's counting, right?

Ooooooooh, this is another side of your talent I haven't seen before! These sketches are DELICIOUS.. I love them all, the two most favourite being "Making alternative arrangements", and "She-Tree". The first says so much, it's a whole story woven in there, her expression, the turn of her shoulder, how she clasps her (obviously her's, she brought it with her whaen she came, and now she's taking it with her as she leaves)potted plant - you've drawn her fragility and hurt perfectly. As for "She Tree", who ever knew a tree could be so sexy? She's the Mae West of the tree world - so much humour there!

Wow, I would DIE in that heat - I have no idea how you cope (fanning you).

Goodness, that looks like some major consturction you have going on out there - you certainly have a large spread of land to enjoy - I want to see the finished project please!

congratulations on 40 years of marriage. WOW. Quite an accomplishment.

the yard looks great.

i too would have a hard time with so many days of that heat. I am wondering though if it is dry heat there in Texas? I actually like dry heat though maybe not so much of it.

Love your paintings and the clever titles. different. The she tree is so clever. love the birds nest too. the heat has got you hopping creatively!

What cutie pies- are they ATCs? I want some!

40 years have gone by in the blink of an eye- we are 36 now. I remember the day I met him- he was so young!

Happy happy Anni!

Ah Shrink, thanks so much re: sketches. And yes, she brought it with her & is NOT leaving it in the dust that remains. (great story, thanks!)
:-D
I'll be posting pics of This Old House as things get finished.Or whenever it cools off, whichever comes first.

Suki thanks, it IS quite an accomplishment. Some rough patches, sure. It hasn't all been bliss,by any stretch.I wasn't even looking to get hitched again, I'd already been there, done that. He's always been very bossy and actually said: "it's now or never",(romantic that he is),,,and I thought to myself that perhaps I should give it further thought.
Looking back, it was a wise decision.
:-)
No, it's not a dry heat, unfortunately. A wet, smothering, in your face GOTCHA heat!

Annie, Tille says thank you!
90's sounds pretty good from here, but it's all relative, isn't it?
If I'm remembering correctly, it IS a dryer heat there, right?

Blue Sky, I'm staying cool, cause I'm staying inside all I can.Even the grocery shopping gets done at night.
Thanks for the compliments, re: lines. I like lines,,,

Jossie, you know they are, ha! That's all I'm doing presently.
Isn't it funny,,,,,,mine looked so young then too. And yet you and I manage to STILL look young!
HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHA
(good one, Babs!)

Lo, I'm glad you like them, thanks!

Only showing photos of me taken from a distance means my roadmap lines aren't too obvious.Cheating has always been my long suit!
:-)
Oh, and that Jack is a real caution,,,he says so many funny things!
I have seen her marching him down the hall,,,pulling him by his arm. He likes to cover all bases, just in case, haha!

Oh Babs! I just love everything about this post! Your art cards, your driveway and your wit.
I do hope you all get some relief from your incessant heat. You'll be sunbathing on New Year's at this rate!
These cards are so cute. I love them all.

Hey thanks Kate!
(blushing)

You know what? If New Year's is anything like it was last time, I would relish sunbathing! We were buried under a ton of ice, for cryin' out loud!

OMG, I've just spotted Jack's "Please don't pull me by this arm" quote, and laughed out loud! My eldest broke his arm when he was six, he leapt off the top of the stairs to grab a helium balloon that was on the (very tall) hall ceiling. At the accident & emergency dept, they asked him how it happenned.

"My mum did it."

I nearly faint. WTF???????

"Why, how did she do it? What happenned?" asks the concerned doctor.

"She wouldn't get the balloon."

(Phew..)

Love the "she tree" and the others. And my goodness - 40 years! We are getting close to that also but have a few years to go. And yes I was a child bride also :)
