PAINTING ON FABRIC

This one was painted on muslin
Tracking The Storm

As was this one.
Under The Boardwalk

And this one has fabric bits
collaged into the paint.
Tribal

This one does also.
Tribal 2

And the following are a couple of recent collages in mixed media

Pablo and Dora

Tying of The Sun

The last one is upside down, and there doesn't seem to be
anything I can do about it.
Believe me, I've tried.
A
LOT.
Okay, Blogger,,,,I give!

Last, but definitely not least, is
My newest favorite photo:

who knew they had lockers in kindergarten?

Awww, that photo is so, so sweet - and so a huge new chapter begins, eh?

Ooh, you HAVE been busy, putting your talents to wonderful use. These are fabulous, I love the muslin paintings, the textures and colours are so rich and lush - I particularly love "Tribal" and the (up-sides-down) sun ones. What a creative imagination you have, I wish I had just a drop of the magic you have to be able to produce these gorgeous pieces!

Kindergarten is such a big step isn't it?! For some reason I have butterflies in my tummy.
Babs I am particularly enjoying your first muslin pieces and love Tribal!

These first two pieces are so beautiful...love the grays and the texture. Tribal is strong!
Oh, Kindergarten with fresh combed hair and new clothes...I remember my boys and going to the car with tears...a special beginning!

I'm loving all of these. Where do you get your inspiration?
And, of course, Jack. How grown up he is. Are you sure this isn't high school?

am especially drawn to the first painting and tribal two. love the jack quotes in yr sidebar.

well, my heart swells seeing jack at school with his first locker. didnt they used to have open cubbies?? But i am so glad you are now nearby to enjoy Jack as he goes through these wonderful childhood times.

do you want to tie down the sun so you can cool it off???

And Shrinky, I could say the very same to you about your awesome writing!

Robyn, Jack had those butterflies too, (we all did) but he's adjusted and loving it. Thank you, re: my art.

Bluesky,,I know. His Mom said she could hardly see to drive after she dropped him off.It was the same for me,,,with her.

Kate, thanks. It seems lately,,,,the titles pop up out of nowhere first,,,and I paint to them.Different for me, it's normally been the opposite.

Katelen, so good to see you! A big journey, yes,,,and he is ready and eager to get started! Thank you.

Suki, sometimes he says THE funniest stuff. And so serious about it too. I'm so grateful to be sharing his life from close up.
I think tying the sun was a good idea, as we woke up with temps in the 60's this morning,,,YEEEHAW!

Hi Mim, and thanks. I kinda like Tribal myself. And a big step yes,,among many.

Thanks Lynn!
You're right, that photo is so sweet! Thanks so much, I appreciate you & your art comment!

Babs, I was saying a big thanks to that generator those 2 days, even with all the cords running through the house. We got lucky some people around the area had power out for over a week, ugh. I just tried to make a new blog post but it won't publish, I'm gonna have to do some investigating to find out why. I hope youall are all doing well, yea cooler weather and the first day of fall on the way!!
